Russian antitrust on guard of food prices ahead of New Year
MOSCOW, Dec 10 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service will control and investigate cases of unjustified increases of food prices ahead of the New Year, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich told reporters at a briefing on Thursday.
A range of Russian companies may increase food prices on the back of high demand for products ahead of the New Year and introduction of payments for road use for heavy vehicles, according to the official.
“Cases of unfair increases of prices will be controlled and investigated by the Federal Antimonopoly Service in accordance with the established procedure,” Dvorkovich said.
